Business Cards are Mini-BillboardsThe Mighty Mini!

Think business cards are just for supplying contact information? If so, you're missing out on one of the best, low-cost marketing tools in business.

Put into the hands of everyone you meet, easily distributed in a variety of other ways, business cards are mini-billboards constantly promoting your business. They put vital contact information into the hands of potential customers when they're ready to do business.

These little guys are powerful! Once unleashed, they're on the job, telling your story, singing your song. A staff of mini-salespeople promoting your business or organization 24 hours a day. Always on time; always on message; always projecting the right image.

We are The Business Card People.

As The Business Card People, we LOVE business cards and we are dedicated to helping businesses, professionals and organizations understand and benefit from their amazing power. We offer an extensive variety of business card products at exceptional value, turnkey solutions including award-winning graphic design and valuable information on using business cards to enhance your marketing program.

Attentive, Knowledgeable Service: In this increasingly impersonal age, we will gladly take the time to discuss with you your marketing and business needs, problems and objectives and offer solutions based on nearly 40 years of advertising, marketing and design experience.

How important is design?

Design is the difference between contact information on paper and a powerful, effective marketing tool. Design presents an image of you or your business and determines whether that image works for or against you. Every design communicates a message; good design communicates the right message.

Are you proud to hand out your business cards? Does it accurately represent your business? When was the last time someone said, "Hey, great card!" We can make that happen.

Why not let The Business Card People create a stunning new design for your business cards. Owner/designer, Jim Lipscomb, has been creating award-winning designs for over 35 years. After all, it cost the same to print a great design as it does to print a poor design.

Marketing tips:

Fact: Business cards do no work sitting in a box. Buying business cards and not passing them out is like purchasing advertising, paying in advance and then not using it. Keep your business cards with you at all times. Keep extras in your wallet, glove compartment, purse, golf bag, everywhere you might need them. Never pass up an opportunity to hand them out. Ask places you patronize, like restaurants, if you can leave a stack of your cards on the counter. Pin your card on every bulletin board you see.

Want to increase referrals? When you've completed a sale/job or delivered a product, give your customer 3 or 4 cards and say, "If you are happy with my (product/service), please tell your friends and associates about me." You can combine this with an incentive such as a discount on future purchases or gift cards to really boost referrals.

Design tips:

Keep it simple. Don't clutter the front of the card with excessive information. Your business name/logo, your name, title, office phone, address, email and website provide all the information necessary to contact you. And, always include a line stating what you do or sell, especially if the name of your business does not make that clear.

Always utilize the back of the card. Unless you have frequent need to write notes on the backs of your business cards (even then a light background color or pattern can be used), always have the back of the card printed. Otherwise, when it is laying face down, it's just a scrap of paper. NO marketing value in that. Use the back to list products and services or re-present your logo in an attention-getting design. A popular current trend is to move contact information to the back of the card to increase the effectiveness of the front design. Another great idea, have a calendar printed on the back. It is a great way insure people hang on to your card. To encourage this important practice, we offer backside printing on FULL COLOR cards at no additional charge.

Employee Relations tip:

Want to build employee loyalty and team spirit? Business cards help. Remember how you felt when you got your first set of business cards? Proud, like you were an important part of the team? Your employees will feel the same way. Even a small number of business cards in their name will make them feel appreciated as a valuable contributor to the success of the business.
